Ultimate List Of StumbleUpon Articles (Get a Free Backlink)

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

stumbleupon logoI would like to say that I thought of this all on my own, but I can’t. Mohsin from Blogging Bits had a Free Backlink Giveaway on Saturday requesting that Bloggers submit their best article to Blogging Bits and he would link to their article. Please check out the awesome list of articles that were submitted.

Well, now it is my turn, but with a little wrinkle.

My Goal: To create the ultimate list of articles about StumbleUpon. StumbleUpon is my favorite social bookmarking site. It is a tremendously easy bookmarking tool and an great social site. I think that StumbleUpon has some of the best social features of any site. You can see what sites your friends like, send articles to your friends and send traffic to well deserving content.

How To Enter: There are two ways to enter and get a backlink.

  1. Leave a comment listing one or more articles about StumbleUpon that you have written.
  2. Leave a comment listing two or more articles about StumbleUpon that you have really enjoyed.

What You Get: If you participate, you get the following,

  1. A free backlink to your site or articles
  2. A great list of articles about StumbleUpon

Deadline: Sunday October 28, 2007

Please note that I reserve the right not to post to any spam sites or sites containing inappropriate material.

Update:   Please note that I am looking for articles about StumbleUpon, not articles that have been submitted to StumbleUpon.  As an attorney, I am embarrassed that I created this confusion.

Hi,
Great initiative on your part. I am pretty sure this would get your some real good articles related to StumbleUpon and you could then Post a great resource article. I would love to be a part of this project.

I read quite a few blogs but I find Darren Rowse to be a good authority on Blog Tips.

I have shared two articles that I liked on his website, one is wrttien by him other is a guest post by Skllie b of skelliewag.org. Here goes:

1. How to draw Stumble users to your website:
http://www.problogger.net/archives/2007/08/14/how-to-draw-stumbleupon-users-into-your-blog/

2.Building your blog with StumbleUpon:

Hope you find these worthy of listing in your collection.

Good Luck!

Cheers!
Vikram.

This article from Skellie isn’t only about StumbleUpon, but part of it is, and I think it’s valid (and valuable!).

I’ve written a couple articles about StumbleUpon, but only about my successes with it and about results from a poll I ran on my site about how many people had the toolbar. I don’t think these articles will benefit your collection so I won’t submit them, but instead I’ll excitedly await it so I can read the rest! :)

I ran my own Stumbleupon experiment and did manage to create a huge spike in my traffic. You can see the data here:
http://aldebaranwebdesign.com/blog/stumbleupon-my-experiment-to-increase-website-traffic-using-stumbleuponcom/

But it died down after a few hours. Folks have to keep rating it well in order for it to stay in play, I guess.

Enjoy the data
