Douglas, I sometimes feel the same way about StumbleUpon. However, I think that StumbleUpon is the best social media site to bring consistent traffic to your site.

I get a lot of traffic from stumbleupon however none of that traffic views the ads on the site, so the traffic is not targeted at all! Not a big fan, but I use it anyway. Speaking of black friday though, like you, it wasn't spent slurging.

I am glad that you are seeing some good traffic with stumbleupon. Every time I write an article now, I get at least 300 page views from StumbleUpon. My best day was 8,000.

Many thanks for linking to my post about that traffic explosion caused by StumbleUpon. I’ll have to write another one soon, because the SU traffic keeps growing. Still, I don’t really expect it to last for much longer.

I totally agree with you: thanks to SU, even brand new blogs can get some visitors. Therefore the bloggers won’t feel alone anymore.
