Matt Cutts Images Video Tutorial

7 Dec, 2007  |  Written by Fred  |  under Blogging

Matt Cutts, Googles head of webspam, has created a great video describing how to use ALT text to describe your images. While nothing in this video is earth shattering, it is one of the best beginner descriptions of ALT text.

If you put images into your blog articles, make sure that you are complete the ALT text field. Matt suggests that you should keep the text to around seven words.

Matt’s description is great because it clearly describes how you can help Google find your images. This is an excellent way to bring in more search engine traffic.

Enjoy the video.

Alt description is one most bloggers overlook and yet it is so easy to do when you add image with your built in interface and so important to help you get more traffic :)

Thanks for sharing, I’m sure it will help great many people.

Great little video on using the ALT tag in your images.

I have been showing this type example to my clients for a few years now so they understand that images don’t say a lot to those that can’t see it, like google.

Great video, I always use the Alt description but more as I way of giving me a reminder in the code. I’ll pay more attention to it now.
I never really considered a search engine using those tags.
