Chris Garrett just offered to write guest-posts on others’ blogs to increase his Technorati rank. I would love for Chris to write a guest post on Newest on the Net. Guest blogging is a great way to help a new blogger increase his online presence, authority and traffic.
I have written a guest post on Blogging Tips. My article was Using Video to Engage Your Readers.

Good advice. If you can actually write something worth reading guest posts are a great way to build up an audience. Most other gimmicks people try I think are a waste, but guest blogging is a good way to get your thoughts in front of more people and hopefully some of them will subscribe to your blog.

It works for me, a few people have told me they found me through guest posts. Normally I only guest at places where audiences overlap but I broke that rule recently
