I've tried CoComment for several months, recently and in their version live about a year ago. While I agree the philosophy and features are unique and useful, I found the plugin to be cumbersome and snailspace-ing my system. Websites simply wouldn't load fast, particularly sites like Facebook or MySpace that might have a dialogue/form box CoComment wants to slap itself onto.

I abolutely enjoyed the concept, but hated the drag it put on my system. I'll try it again when I upgrade machines again, but I'm using the latest, greatest at work and a two-year-old, but suped-up unit at home and it still slowed me down.

Two cents. Great post and certainly a good site for those patient enough.
