Coin collecting has become a great hobby of mine.  I have been collecting coins all of my life, but only recently have I started writing about coin collecting.  The link in the previous sentence is to my new coin collecting blog called Coinblogger.com.

In addition to this general coin collecting site, I have also created several satellite sites to delve in depth on specific coin collectin niches.  The first satellite site is Key Date Lincoln Cents.  This site is all about collecting Lincoln Cents.  The best coins to collect in any series are the key date coins.  That is why I picked the name Key Date Lincoln Cents for my site about collecting lincoln pennies.

Another niche with in the coin collecting family is investing in gold.  Gold investing is one of the key reasons to invest in coin.  The price of gold greatly affects coin values and rare coin values.  My second satellite site is Gold Prices Today.  Gold Prices Today is a site bringing readers the latest gold price news and analysis.  Gold Prices Today will hopefully become a great resource for staying up to date on the gold market and understanding gold prices today.

Another satellite site that I created in the 1943 Steel Penny site.  The 1943 Steel Penny is a famous Lincoln cent and this site is an ebay store for buying these coins and other US coins.  I have been playing with ebay’s EPN program and this 1943 Steel Penny site is designed to sell coins using an ebay script.

As you can tell, I have been working hard to combine my coin collecting love with my online marketing love.  Please leave a comment about these new coin collecting sites.

Have you read Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity? This it my favorite personal productivity and organization book and system. David Allen has created a great system to help people manage in today’s multitasking world.

I came across this video on Lifehacker today of a tour of David Allen’s office.  If you are a fan of David Allen and Getting Things Done, you will love this Getting Things Done interview with Davide Allen.  He shows you his office and how he has implemented the Getting Things Done system.  Enjoy

Do you want to find the perfect font for your blog?  Often it is hard to visualize what your words will look like in a particular font.  That is where Font Picker can really help you out.

Font Picker allows you to type in a word or phrase and see how it looks in various fonts.  In fact, I bet that it has over 100 fonts.  Font Picker can also be installed on your desktop as a desktop application for both Windows and Mac operating systems.

One of the coolest websites I have seen is the Footnote World War II Collection.  Footnote has worked with the National Archives to compile a great resource of World War II information.

This World War II collection includes tons of photos taken during WWII.  These photos are priceless.  What a great way to see what our soldiers did during this war.

In addition to this awesome WWII photo gallery, Footnote has collected over 8.8 million pages that they title “Hero Pages.”  Each of these pages describes a soldier and shows what they did during the war using a really cool interactive timeline.

You can also create your own Hero Page of someone you know who served in World War II.  You can easily upload your own photos, create a timeline and a biography for your hero.

This is truly an awesome way to preserve this history.  I think that it is going to be a great tool for teachers and students.  So go check out the Footnote World War II Collection.

Kodak Zi6 HD Video Camera

Kodak Zi6 HD Video Camera

Many people (and a lot of bloggers) have heard about the Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder and the Flip Video MinoHD Camcorder.  However, I believe that the new Kodak Zi6 HD camcorder is better than these flip video cameras.

These cameras are perfect for taking videos of your children and uploading them onto your computer quickly.  How many of us new parents ran out and bought an expensive video camera, but rarely use it because it is not easy to get the video in a format to share with loved ones over the Internet.  This Kodak Zi6 HD camcorder solves this problem.  Like the Flip video cameras, the Kodak Zi6 has a USB arm that swings out to connect the camcorder straight to your computer to download your movies.  This makes it super easy to share your videos.

For bloggers or those who work online a lot, these mini video camcorders make it really easy to put videos on youtube, your own wordpress site or in an email.  This is a great way to set your blog apart from other sites.

The Kodak Zi6 is listed as HD, but it is not a 1080p camcorder.  The Kodak Zi6 shoots in 720p.  This is perfect for web videos.  If you want those movie studio quality videos, then this mini video camera is not for you: stick with the full HD camcorders.  However, if you want a small video camera that you can carry in your pocket to capture those impromptu moments then this is the perfect option.

Here are some of my favorite Kodak Zi6 features:

  • It has a digital zoom built in
  • It uses AA batteries so you can easily swap out new batteries if they die
  • Kodak provides 2 rechargeable AA batteries with the Kodak Zi6

The only criticism that I have with the Zi6 is that it doesn’t come with enough memory.  You will need to buy an SD card in order to shoot more than a thirty second video.  But, luckily SD cards are cheap.

I hope you enjoyed this Kodak Zi6 HD Camcorder Review.  If you would like to read more reviews about the Kodak Zi6 HD camcorder, click that link to see the Amazon product review. What is your favorite mini video camera?
