Have you seen Monnitter yet? Well, it is the first thing that I have seen that makes Twitter useful. That’s right, it might surprise you, but I don’t like Twitter. Why? Well, I just don’t find it very useful.
However, I might have just found a way to use Twitter. That is where the new website Monnitter comes into play. Monnitter allows you to type in up to three keywords to monitor on Twitter. In realtime, Monnitter will bring to your attention any Twitter tweets mentioning your chosen keyword.
For me, I love to read about mont blanc fountain pens and buffalo gold coins. Monnitter allows you to follow the online conversation that is occuring on Twitter regarding topics that are important to you. I know that you wake up every morning wondering what your favorite make money online guru is having for breakfast.
Sure, sometime you can learn about something new on Twitter, but there are much more efficient ways to get your information. Twitter is for narcissists, not for normal people. Twitter can be a cool tool to talk to people you really care about, but not socializing with 100 followers. So, make Twitter useful and try Monniter.
In Day 10 of the Thirty Day Challenge, Ed Dale and Dan Raine launched their free RSS feed submission service. In my article on 35 Ways to Increase RSS Subscribers, tip number 32 suggested that you add you RSS feed to RSS feed directories. Having a free RSS feed submission service is a great tool to help you promote your blog.
The TDC Submission tool can really save you a lot of time. If you have ever done this manually for your blog, you know how long this can take. But, the Thirty Day Challenge RSS Submission tool will do it automatically for you. This should save you a lot of time.
So, how can submitting your blog to RSS feed directories help you promote your blog? Each of these directories will register a link to your latest blog posts. This will help you to get your new articles indexed by Google quickly. The more links you have on the Internet the faster Google will find one and follow it to your site to index your article. Additionally, if you have a catchy title and a good opening paragraph, people will see you article on the directory and come to your site directly.
For those of you following the Thirty Day Challenge and my Thirty Day Challenge Action List, I have updated the action list through Day 9.
Day 9 of the Thirty Day Challenge focused around getting backlinks to your website. This is hugely important to the success of your site in getting search engine traffic. Google, Yahoo and MSN use backlinks as a way of determining what content is worthy of listing higher in their search engine results pages. The more backlinks you get the higher you site will be listed.
Ed Dale has provided a lot of good tips to finding places to get links back to your blog. You will learn a lot by watching this Thirty Day Challenge Day 9 video.
Time and time again, I read make money online gurus state that the make money online niche is a terrible niche and that people should not waste their time creating make money online blogs. In many ways these make money online gurus are right. But, they are not telling you the complete truth.
The first thing that the gurus complain about is the number of people you have to compete with. This is very true. There are currently over 12 million competing pages indexed by google for “make money online.”
The second biggest complaint is that the market is not that big. Well, this is half true. The market is pretty big. According to Wordtracker, 953 searches are done a day for “make money online”. 953 searches a day is nothing to shake a stick at.
The third complaint is that those who are competing in this niche are all really good at SEO. This too is true. If you want to rank for “make money online” you will need to compete with a lot of great Internet marketers who know a lot about search engine optimization.
But, does the make money online niche suck?
If making money online is a terrible niche, why do so many Internet marketers try to rank for the “make money online” keyword?
Hungry buyers is the answer!!
While the market is not huge, people who are looking to make money online are hungry buyers. They are the best type of traffic that you want to your site. They are desperate to learn how to make money online. And, they are willing to pay a lot to learn how to do it.
That is the secret that the make money online gurus are not telling you about. While it is a difficult niche to compete in, the make money online niche is great. So if you want to make money online, find a micro niche within the make money online market and you might be able to tap into a less competitive market and still make lots of money.
As I have been progressing through the Thirty Day Challenge 2008 and updating the Thirty Day Challenge Action List, I came to day 4. In Day 4’s lessons, Dan Raine has shared a great video on how to write articles that sell.
Learning how to write articles that sell is an often overlooked skill by beginning Internet marketers. We spend a lot of time how to find niches, how to find keywords and how to set up websites, but we forget that without good sales copy we will never be able to reach the maximum sales for our niche.
I have found in my Internet marketing journey that the number one thing you must do to succeed in Internet marketing is to create lots of content. The more content you create, the more products you promote, the more sales you will make. You need to have tons of hooks out on the Internet to increase your chances of catching sales.
However, the second most important lessons is learning how to write articles that sell. If you really want to learn how to make money online, you need this skill. Watch the following video to get a glimpse into the sales copy creating process of one of the best Internet marketers.
